Information below:

"The Armenian Genocide — was the forcible deportation and massacring of hundreds of thousands to over 1.5 million Armenians during the government of the Young Turks from 1915 to 1917 in the Ottoman Empire.

It is widely acknowledged to have been one of the first modern, systematic genocides, as many Western sources point to the sheer scale of the death toll as evidence for a systematic, organized plan to eliminate the Armenians. The event is also said to be the second-most studied case of genocide. To date twenty-one countries have officially recognized it as genocide. The government of the Republic of Turkey has rejected the characterization of the events as genocide even until this day." - from Wikipedia.

I have many Armenian good friends, they are nice people. But if you come and say this (that you recognize the genocide) in Turkey you will be killed by some Turkish people after a few days..:hmm:
:icontravis50:
well i dont live in turkey so i have nothing to worry about, and my country is a free spoken country so i have nothing to worry about. you see, in israel i dont live in fear of expressing my opinions, I can go and shout in the street that i love palestine (doesnt matter if i do or not) and nobody will harm me for it.
in turkey, as you said, people should live in fear from expressing what they think. if i shout that i recognize israel in palestine i will be killed, if i say that ahmedinjad is a terrorist or that gays rule i will also be killed...
all this killing makes me wanna throw up
and the fact that turkish people dont recognize the armenian genocide but they do recognize the palestinian genocide is a little fishy to me...
see, in these countries, everyone takes care of themselves or what they are told to take care of or believe in, regardless of what they think! it's a blind faith in nothing.
:iconsenem:
I'm not Turkish so I dont need to worry about how Turkey is not democratic. Also Turkey doesnt recognize the Palestinian genocide too.they are more thinking about Israeli holocaust. And no,you wont be killed if you say Ahmedinejad is a terrorist.some of young Iranians say he is a dictator and terorrist (I dont think he is) and they are still live freely. So please be a little more careful before speaking about how my dear country (Iran) is not democratic and bad and this kind of things...
Also,I think it would be an interesting way of suicide if you go and say how you love Palestine in Israeli streets.government would do nothing to you,but some sionist Israelis may harm you in a few days...
:icontravis50:
well i'm sorry if i thought wrong of your country, but i know for a fact that in israel nobody will do you harm if you'll shout out that you love palestine. there are protests against the israeli army and the occupation of palestine in israel, an these people dont get hurt by others. they are judged, a lot, but very rarely harmed.
i know someone who lives in iran and recently she came to israel for her nephew's birthday after she hasnt seen her sister for 30 years, after her family fled iran.
i'm not saying iran is aweful, it's just hard saying that it's wonderful after Ahmedinejad takes place in holocaust denial events and says that all israelis should die...
:iconsenem:
About Ahmedinejad's holocaust denial,I can understand it's offensive for you Jewish people and I'm not so sure about Ahmedinejad's attitude is right about Israel too.
But when did he said all Israelis should die?I didn't hear that before,I just heard about he said "Israel should be deleted from the map".
I saw some photos of protests in Israel before, but I'm not sure about that all Israeli society and zionist people will be nice about people who say they love Palestine.
But as far as I know (Im not sure, tell me if I'm wrong) Ahmedinejad doesnt say "holocaust is totaly a lie" (of course it is not,we all know about Hitler and Nazis),but "it has been promoting too much,to show all Jewish people like poor innocent victims and make people forget Palestinian people".If he really said holocaust is totally a lie of course it's wrong, but if he said the think I though (that it has been promoting too much to make people blind to Palestine) it's true.
In Iran there are a lot of people who both love Palestine and Jews too,and not all of us think like Ahmedinejad. Also in Iran there are a lot of Jews.I remember the last time I was here, there was a boy with a big necklace with a star of David on it.
:icontravis50:
"deleting israel off the map" and "killing all israelis" isnt that the same thing?!
of course not all israelis are nice to people who love palestine, but neither are the palestinians. i wanna hear about a palestinian protest that recognized israel... didnt find any did you?
besides, in the holocaust 6,000,000 jews died! how can one compare that to what's going on in palestine. palestinians get killed, i'm not denying that at all. but all palestinians together dont even make 4,000,000 people, living. so dont tell me that the holocaut is over publiciated, because that's aweful, and no way it comes on the expence of the palestinian situation.
The turks tolled lives of almost a million armenians, who talks about that huh? nobody does, because everyone wants to be friends with Turkey.
It's large, influencial, important and a gold mine of tourists.

Yes, in Iran you have plenty of jews, i'd say about 50, and most of them are half way in the grave or just waiting to flee.
