Recognize the Armenian Gncd by travis50 Recognize the Armenian Gncd by travis50
Update: Do what you want with it, but please don't claim ownership or originality as yours. No link or credit needed, hopefully make this matter something that everybody knows about and doesn't forget.

Information below:

"The Armenian Genocide — was the forcible deportation and massacring of hundreds of thousands to over 1.5 million Armenians during the government of the Young Turks from 1915 to 1917 in the Ottoman Empire.

It is widely acknowledged to have been one of the first modern, systematic genocides, as many Western sources point to the sheer scale of the death toll as evidence for a systematic, organized plan to eliminate the Armenians. The event is also said to be the second-most studied case of genocide. To date twenty-one countries have officially recognized it as genocide. The government of the Republic of Turkey has rejected the characterization of the events as genocide even until this day." - from Wikipedia.

I recognize the Armenian genocide. Turkey should too, and they should send a proper apology to Armenia. Harm is done, but it's always better to admit you were wrong. Denial only causes more hostilities.

Read more books, follow news, search on wiki, if you can look from Turkish sources. We always labelled as monster and strong ones played "poor one". You all heard explosions in Paris, Belgium etc. How many of you know about hundreads of explosions in Turkey? Does your media shows what happens in Turkey? HELL NO. You still keep calling us murders or terrorists. You prefer to believe what did you hear. You don't want to search or don't want to believe truth because it doesn't fit on your opinion. My purpose is not insult you i just want you open your mind more but whatever i try you will keep to believe whatever you want so i won't talk about it more.
I will always deny this shit, why? They hurt my people too even in this day they are disturbing our people. They attacked our brother country Azerbaijan. Have you any idea about Destruction in Karabakh? NO!
Today Armenians are burning our flag and celebrating it like a holiday. I am crying when i watch them. Do you know what does a flag mean? A flag is honor of a nation, you can't put it on whatever you want. You can't burn a nation's flag even though they are your enemy. This is so freaking disrespectful. They are doing all of these shits and still we are barbarian ones, huh kiss my ass.
Please don't get mad at me i just said the truth. Ok i respect your opinion so please respect my opinion too. If i have this opinion i know something that you don't know.

Anyone else find it hilarious how Turks always bitch about Israel and Palestine but ignore their own longer, and much more developed Track record of criminal activity.

In 1915, leaders of the Turkish government set in motion a plan to expel and massacre Armenians living in the Ottoman Empire. Though reports vary, most sources agree that there were about 2 million Armenians in the Ottoman Empire at the time of the massacre. By the early 1920s, when the massacres and deportations finally ended, some 1.5 million of Turkey’s Armenians were dead, with many more forcibly removed from the country. Today, most historians call this event a genocide–a premeditated and systematic campaign to exterminate an entire people. However, the Turkish government does not acknowledge the enormity or scope of these events. Despite pressure from Armenians and social justice advocates throughout the world, it is still illegal in Turkey to talk about what happened to Armenians during this era.

Here's what you've gotta do. buy tickets to Armenia and get a passport.
When you land, buy a couple of tissue boxes.
Head to the genocide museum, and see all the images/proofs (The remains of the bodies---> Skulls/skeletal remains.../ videos.
Cry your fuckin eyes out.

So you're saying the Armenian genocide never happened? That somehow, the entire world was able to fake an entire genocide that leaked all the way into the deserts of Syria for no reason, along with somehow convincing Armenians that the genocide happened when it didn't?
I don't understand your logic here.

Nobody says you should not be proud of your history, but every nation just like humans, has itīs good deeds and itīs sins.
One of Turkeyīs sins was the Armenian Genocide.
All the countries that participated in the Holocaust, have recognised their guilt and nothing changed in worse, everything was forgiven.
Same should go with Turkey and Armenia. Also with every state on this Earth that in the past have done atrocities against eachothers people.
The fact that Turkey doesnīt recognise the Armenian Genocide, while the whole world does, only makes Turkey look more criminal, more ridiculous and a shameless liar that doesnīt repent for itīs mistake !

I recommend Vergeen by Mae M. Derdarian I know Miss Mae and I love her. They're turning her book into a movie. The book is based on her mother's journals (and her mother's friend). People who do not believe in the genocide suck. It made me cry because of the horrid things that these people went through but it's informational. The book is used in many college courses as well.

How can anyone deny this when even Hitler said: Who remembered the Armenians?!! No doubt I recognize this!

The Turkish genocide of 1915 was and still is a warning to mankind for the genocides to follow! Such as the Holodomor (1932/1933) and the Holocaust! (1935-1945)

I'm going to say I like the stamp (=D)
And that I disagree with the description.
But I'm not slamming the people or the event.
And this could either be bias, or because of the Armenian rebels before the 'genocide'.

Armenians and Turks were killed during both the rebellions and the migration. The Empire was bankrupt, innocent children were killed, and families starved to death.
It wasn't only the Armenians that died, and I think it's unfair how Turks nowadays are treated because they haven't recognized the 'genocide'.

But anyway, cool stamp, and may all the Armenians and Turks who died in the bloodbath rest in peace.
